Pacing Insight

Last updated June 10, 2026 · 2 min read

Inside a chapter, which passages drag / rush — finer than book-level pacing.

Slima's AI chapter-analysis panel: the Pacing Scan confirmation card — what it inspects + the target, with no charge until you click Analyze

What it checks

Pacing Scan reads the whole chapter and looks for:

  • Slow sections — passages that drag and could be tightened
  • Rushed sections — passages that move too fast and need more room
  • Tension curve — whether the pace varies instead of staying flat

What you get back

Like the other AI Insight analyses, the result is a short summary plus a list of suggestions. Each suggestion shows:

  • A severity badge — High (red), Medium (amber), or Low (grey)
  • The original passage struck through next to a suggested rewrite
  • A short explanation of why the pacing is off and how the rewrite helps

Start with the High-severity items — those are the passages that affect the chapter most.
