Inline comments and threads

Want feedback from recipients? Read + comment permission lets them annotate any passage.

Enable

When creating a share link:

• Permission: "Read-only + comment" (paid plans only)
• Send

How recipients comment

Reader Mode:

1. Hover a paragraph → 💬 icon on the right
2. Click → comment box appears
3. Write + "Comment"
4. The comment shows beside the paragraph, anchored inline

Threads

Each comment is a thread root, can have replies:

• You (author) reply → conversation with recipient
• Recipient can reply again

The thread appears on the paragraph's side.

Resolved state

Any thread → "Mark resolved" → greyed + collapsed.

"Resolved filter" toggle:

• Unresolved (default)
• All (including resolved)

Where you (author) see comments

Two paths:

1 · Reader Mode (same URL)

Open the share URL — you see what recipients see.

2 · Inside the editor

Slima editor → that book → any file → comment icon shows "N new" → side panel.

Email notifications

Settings → Notifications → "New comments" → email alerts.

Each new comment → email + in-app notification.

Limits

• Plain text comments (v1 no markdown / images)
• Up to 50 replies per thread
• Up to 200 comment threads per file

Revoking the link — what happens to comments

After revoking:

• Comments preserved (Slima side)
• Recipient's link no longer works, can't see
• You can still see (in the editor)
