AI Insight overview: four kinds

Last updated May 26, 2026 · 3 min read

Insight isn't "AI revises" — it's "AI reads and diagnoses." Four lenses.

Slima Writing Studio AI analysis: clicking "Pacing Scan" in the AI panel's top tab bar opens a confirm card showing what the analysis looks at, the target file (Chapter 1.md), and a Start analysis button

Four analyses

Analysis What
Pacing Which passages drag / rush
Dialogue Dialogue-to-narration balance & rhythm
Repetition Word / phrase repetition
Consistency Setup conflicts (people / places / objects / time)

How to run

Open the right-hand AI panel. Besides "AI Chat", its top tab bar has four analysis buttons: Pacing Scan / Dialogue / Repetition / Consistency.

Click one → the panel switches to that analysis's confirm card: it shows what the analysis looks at and the target file (the current chapter, e.g. Chapter 1.md). Nothing is charged until you press Start analysis.

Result panel

Once it finishes, the same panel lists a set of suggestions (headed "N suggestions found"). Each suggestion has:

  • A severity tag (High / Medium / Low)
  • The original text (struck through) beside the suggested rewrite
  • Click any one to jump to its spot in the editor
