Write view floating navigation buttons: quick scroll & scene collapse
Last updated May 29, 2026 · 2 min read
In Write view, a small cluster of floating navigation buttons sits in the bottom-right corner of the editor. They help you jump around a long script and collapse or expand every scene at once.

Where it sits
Pinned to the bottom-right corner of the editor as a small vertical stack. It stays semi-transparent and only becomes fully visible when you hover over it, so it stays out of your way while you write.
The four buttons
| Button | Use |
|---|---|
| Scroll to top | Jump back to the start of the script in one click |
| Scroll to bottom | Jump to the end of the script in one click |
| Collapse all scenes | Fold every scene down to just its heading, for a quick structural overview |
| Expand all scenes | Re-expand every scene to show its full content |
This cluster is navigation only — it never edits your script, and it has no format or AI actions.
Hiding
The buttons are hidden automatically when you enter Zen mode (focus mode), so nothing distracts you while writing; they reappear when you leave Zen mode. There is no separate toggle to set.
Vs Script outline
Script outline panel is the side structural navigation (scene list) that lets you jump to a specific scene, whereas these bottom-right buttons only scroll and collapse / expand. They serve different purposes.
