Script Studio

Edit / archive / delete script book + 60-day restore

5 min read

Script-book lifecycle (edit metadata / mark complete / archive / delete) — same mechanics as Writing Studio's book lifecycle, with slightly different wording.

Slima Script Studio "My Scripts" page as a visual reference; card ⋯ menu offers lifecycle actions

Card ⋯ menu actions

Hover a script card → top-right ⋯ menu typically contains:

Option Use
Edit Change title / type / format / Logline metadata (same as Plan view)
Copy Create a full duplicate (all Episodes / scenes / characters / storylines / version history)
Mark as Complete Add ✓ but stay in "Works" tab
Move to Completed / Archive Move to "Completed" tab
Delete / Move to Trash Soft-delete (60-day recoverable)

Edit metadata

"Edit" opens a dialog — editable:

  • Title
  • Type (4 options — changing type doesn't auto-reorganise Season / Episode)
  • Format (TW / Hollywood — toggling re-renders dialogue layout instantly)

Note: changing type / format doesn't lose content. Dialogue, description, structural metadata all preserved.

Completed tab vs Mark as Complete

Related but distinct:

Mark as Complete Completed tab (archive)
Effect Card gets ✓ Whole book moves to Completed tab
Visible in Works tab? ❌ (switch to Completed tab)
AI Coach can read? ✅ (still readable)
Counts in motivation / words? ❌ (archived doesn't count toward today's words)

Move to Trash + Restore

Same mechanism as Writing Studio:

Permanent delete (manual)

From Trash tab → ⋯ menu → Permanent Delete. Double-confirmation.

Not recoverable — export a .slima backup before confirming (Import + bulk export).

Vs Writing Studio book lifecycle

See: Writing Studio book lifecycle — same mechanics; only "Completed" vs "Archive" wording differs.
