Notes tab overview: Note / Todo / Foreshadow Tracking

Last updated June 6, 2026 · 2 min read

Plan view's 6th tab is Notes. It's a board that sorts script-related notes into three types: Note, Todo, and Foreshadow Tracking.

Slima Script Studio Notes tab: a By Type / By Scene toggle, a Series / Season / Episode / All scope filter, and a three-column board (Note / Todo / Foreshadow Tracking)

Notes tab layout

The Notes tab has two toggle dimensions at the top:

  • By Type / By Scene: two view modes
  • Series / Season / Episode / All: a scope filter — see notes for one level, or all

By Type view

"By Type" is a three-column board, one column per type:

Type Use
Note General ideas, references, remarks
Todo Things still to do, to remember to handle
Foreshadow Tracking Setups planted vs. their payoffs (details)

By Scene view

"By Scene" regroups notes by scene — see which notes are attached to each scene.

Creating a note

When the Notes tab is empty, each column prompts: "No notes yet. Right-click a scene element or click + to start."

Two starting points: in the Write editor, right-click a scene element to note it; or click + in the Notes tab. See Creating notes.
