Important: exact shortcuts may vary by platform / Slima version. This lists commonly-observed keys; if one doesn't work, check toolbar tooltipfor current bindings.

Script format shortcuts

Element switching

Mac Win/Linux Action
Tab Tab Next element type
Shift Tab Shift Tab Previous element type
Ctrl 1 Ctrl 1 Set to Action
Ctrl 2 Ctrl 2 Set to Character
Ctrl 3 Ctrl 3 Set to Dialogue
Ctrl 4 Ctrl 4 Set to Parenthetical
Ctrl 5 Ctrl 5 Set to Shot

The number keys use Ctrl on every platform (Mac too — not Cmd). There is no number- or letter-key shortcut for Scene Heading or Transition. Cmd/Ctrl Shift S opens the Hierarchy picker, not an element switch. Exact combos vary by version — verify via Smart Enter + Tab.

Cmd Opt Right Ctrl Alt Right Next episode

There is no shortcut to split a scene — right-click an element in the editor and choose Split scene.
