Write view floating toolbar: format + AI shortcuts
قراءة 4 دقيقة
Inside Write view, a floating toolbar appears near the editor area, offering the most common format / AI actions for the current cursor position.

Where it sits
Usually at the editor edge (left / bottom-right / or following the cursor) — exact position varies by Slima version.
Common actions
| Action | Use |
|---|---|
| Element type dropdown | Force current line to Scene Heading / Character / Dialogue, etc. |
| Insert Parenthetical | Add a parenthetical in the current Character / Dialogue |
| Insert Transition | Add FADE OUT / CUT TO, etc. |
| AI rewrite / polish | AI actions on current selection (same as Selection Menu) |
| Split / merge scene | Split / merge entry |
Vs Writing Studio's floating toolbar
Writing Studio has an AI Floating Toolbar. Differences:
| Writing Studio | Script Studio | |
|---|---|---|
| Main purpose | AI actions (rewrite / expand / shorten) | Format actions (element switch / parenthetical / transition) + AI |
| Position | Usually editor bottom-right | Often follows cursor or one fixed side |
| Hide | Account → Preferences | Same |
Hiding
Usually Account → Preferences → toggle.
Vs Script outline
Script outline panel is the side structural navigation (chapter / scene list), not a toolbar. See its article.
