Delete a reading
Last updated May 14, 2026 · 2 min read
Deleting a reading removes it from your Reading History list. There's no restorable trash view yet, so confirm before you delete.

How to delete
Open a work, find the reading in the Reading History list on the left, and hover over its row. A small trash icon appears at the bottom-right of the row. Click it to delete.
There's no ⋯ menu, no "Move to trash" label, and no confirmation dialog — one click removes it from the list. If you delete the report you're currently viewing, the panel drops back to the set-up screen.
After you delete
The reading disappears from the Reading History list — it's gone from both the list and the report view.
There is no trash view yet for browsing or restoring deleted readings — the Trash tab on the left is currently just an empty placeholder. So confirm before you delete: from the interface, this can't be undone.
Why delete carefully
Two reasons:
- It can't be undone from the interface today — unlike a draft you can recover, a deleted reading is simply removed from the list
- You may want to compare later — if you revise and want to diff against a report from a few months ago, you need the history to still be there
Running a reading uses 1 report quota (not credits). Deleting the report doesn't refund that quota, since the reading already ran.
