Export report — Markdown / Word
Last updated June 10, 2026 · 3 min read
Reports can leave Slima — the whole report, in two formats (Markdown / Word).

Where to export
The "Export" button at the top-right of any report.
What gets exported
Export always covers the whole report — every tab in one file: overview + reader feedback + editor letter + editor details + action items. There's no option to export a single tab on its own.
Two formats
Markdown (.md)
- Plain text, readable, programmable
- Charts and metrics become descriptive text (tables + bullets, e.g. pacing consensus plus per-section notes)
- Paste-able into GitHub / Notion / Obsidian
Word (.docx)
- For editors / publishers / friends
- Headings / lists / tables preserved
- Not for further editing (presentation)
Recommended pairings
| Scenario | Format |
|---|---|
| Personal archive | Markdown |
| Mail to editor / agent | Word |
| Paste into Notion / writing wiki | Markdown |
| Print to read | Word (PDF it first) |
Privacy
Exported files don't contain Slima internal IDs or sensitive data — safe to send.
After export, the report stays on Slima (not auto-deleted).
