Sprint + Focus modes: timed writing + Zen-like UI
Sprint mode = timed focused writing. Focus mode = Zen-like, hide all UI. Combined, they help you "force yourself to finish in one sitting".

Sprint mode
Set a timer (e.g. 25-min Pomodoro) — in Write view, Slima:
- Shows a countdown timer
- Notifies when done (sound / visual)
- Counts how many words you wrote during the sprint
- Some versions: disable backspace / delete during sprint (forward only mode)
Start
Write view toolbar / command palette → search "Sprint" → dialog:
- Duration (5 / 15 / 25 / 45 / 60 / custom minutes)
- Word goal (optional)
- "Forward only" (optional)
End
Notification + stats:
- Wrote N words
- Average X words / minute
- Goal hit / missed
Focus mode
Write view toolbar → Focus button (or Cmd/Ctrl Shift F-style):
- Hides left activity bar + floating toolbar + side panels
- Editor max width
- Solid black / white background (per theme)
- Leaves: your text + minimal cursor info
Exit: press Focus again / Esc.
Vs Writing Studio Zen Mode
Writing Studio Zen Mode is the equivalent in Writing Studio. Script Studio Focus is conceptually similar.
Sprint + Focus combo
Strongest pairing:
- Sprint 25 min + 500-word goal
- Focus mode (no UI distraction)
- Write
- See completion at the end
Powerful for "must finish E3 climax scene" must-be-done work.
Integration with motivation
Sprint-completed words count toward Streak / HabitPlant tree — same as regular writing.
Consecutive sprint hits may earn special badges / visual encouragement (depending on Slima version).
