Top banners (trial / referral / upgrade / version) + mobile auto-resume

약 4분 소요 26 次瀏覽

The bookshelf sometimes shows a banner at the top — contextual prompts like trial countdown, referral campaign, hitting a limit, or new-feature notifications. On mobile, sign-in skips the shelf and drops you into your last book. This article covers both.

Slima bookshelf "My Works" — clean state with no banners: top "continue" line, Create New Work / Export, three tabs, book cards, motivation widget

Four banner types

1 · Trial countdown banner

Appears when: you're inside a Pro trial period.

Contents: days remaining + the main features the trial covers + a link to subscribe.

Purpose: reminds you there's still time + flags the eventual downgrade.

Dismissable via the × on the right.

2 · Referral banner

Appears when: Slima is running a referral campaign / you haven't tried referral yet.

Contents: invite a friend, both sides get a reward (specific reward varies by campaign).

Purpose: marketing for the referral program.

Dismiss to remove. See Affiliate / Referral.

3 · Upgrade prompt banner

Appears when: you hit a Free-tier limit (e.g. AI Coach weekly cap, report quota exhausted).

Contents: "Want more ___ ? Upgrade to Starter / Pro" + link to plans.

Purpose: shows up at the moment you're constrained, not randomly.

See: Pick a plan

4 · Version notification banner

Appears when: Slima ships a new feature or notable update.

Contents: short "New: X just launched" + a link to the matching changelog entry.

Purpose: flags new things outside the changelog page itself.

See: Version notifications and the version badge

Mobile auto-resume

Open slima.ai on mobile → sign in → Slima auto-jumps into your most-recent chapter instead of stopping at the shelf.

Why this design:

  • Mobile screens are small; the multi-column shelf is data-light and unpleasant to navigate
  • The most common mobile use is "a few free minutes, keep writing" — two extra taps to the editor is a lot
  • Desktop doesn't behave this way — the desktop shelf is still useful (stats, multi-book context)

Want the shelf? Mobile editor → hamburger menu → "My Works."

Turning banners off

Most banner types have their own toggle under Account settings (trial / referral / version notifications each have independent switches).

The exact location varies by plan and UI version; if you can't find the toggle, dismissing the current banner via the × usually keeps that one from reappearing.
