Cancel and refund policy

Last updated June 10, 2026 · 4 min read

Cancelling a subscription, refund policy, and what happens after — all here.

Account → Subscription: Cancel Subscription button at the top; takes effect at end of current cycle

How to cancel

Account → Subscription → "Cancel subscription"

A confirmation dialog appears — confirm it and the cancellation is done. The whole flow stays inside Slima; there's no redirect to an external page. Cancelling doesn't take effect immediately: you keep the paid plan until the end of the current billing cycle, then drop to Free.

(To open Stripe Customer Portal for invoices, payment method, or to "Resume" a subscription you've set to cancel, use the separate "Manage Subscription" button instead.)

What happens after cancelling

  • Current billing cycle keeps the paid plan — all Pro features still work
  • After the cycle ends, account drops to Free automatically
  • Data is fully preserved — books, version history, AI chats, settings all stay
  • No more auto-charges

Changed your mind?

After cancelling, if you want to resubscribe:

  • Current cycle hasn't ended: hit "Resume subscription" in Stripe Customer Portal — no extra charge
  • Current cycle has ended: go through the normal subscribe flow, see Subscribe / upgrade

Refund policy

Full terms at Slima Terms of Service — general principles:

Type Refund rule
Subscription fee Generally not refundable after a full billing cycle has passed
Report Pack add-ons Unused + within a short window — can request a refund
Mistaken / duplicate charges Contact support, handled manually

How to request a refund

From inside Slima, use Contact support and include:

  • Transaction ID (find it in Stripe Customer Portal → Transaction history)
  • Reason
  • Preferred resolution (refund to original method / store credits / plan swap)

Typically a few business days to respond.

EU / UK statutory withdrawal right

Consumers in the EU and UK may, in some cases, have a statutory cooling-off / right of withdrawal when subscribing to an online service. Whether it applies, for how long, and whether a full refund is due depends on when you started using the service and on local law — see the Terms of Service, or contact support to confirm your situation.

Cancel ≠ delete account

Two different things:

Action Account Data Billing
Cancel subscription Still active, drops to Free All preserved No more charges
Delete account Permanently gone after 30 days Erased after 30 days Subscription also cancels immediately

Just want to stop paying → cancel. Leaving Slima entirely → Delete account.
