Start a free Pro trial

Slima offers a free Pro trial — try Pro features (more AI Coach, Beta Readers, etc.) before deciding to subscribe.

How a trial starts

Two paths:

Path 1: auto-trigger on new account

A newly-signed-up account enters Pro trial automatically — no card, no extra step.

Path 2: manual trigger

Missed it or want to try again:

1. Find the "Free Trial" button at the top of your Account area (it only appears when you're eligible)
2. Click it → you'll be taken to the plans page; starting from there begins the trial
3. The "AI prompt" modal that pops up when you run out of credits also offers to start the trial
4. No card required

See slima.ai/plans — days may change.

What you get during the trial

Same as paid Pro:

• Pro-level AI Coach quota
• AI Beta Readers / Editor
• Raised book quota
• Multi-device live sync

When the trial ends

Automatically returns to Free — no auto-charge (since no card). Your:

• Books all preserved
• Version history preserved
• AI chat history preserved
• Only new Pro-only operations show "upgrade" prompts

Convert to paid Pro

During or after trial:

1. Account → Subscription → Subscribe to Pro
2. Complete Stripe Checkout
3. Mid-trial subscription usually starts billing after the trial ends (per Stripe's flow)

"Free Trial" button missing

The "Free Trial" button at the top of your Account area only shows when you're eligible. If it's not there, you likely already used your trial (one trial per account).
