Characters diagnostic

약 3분 소요

When readers say "I felt nothing reading this" it's usually a character issue, not a plot issue.

AI Beta Readers Reading History — "Characters diagnostic" is a section within each report

Scored dimensions

Dimension Examines
Protagonist likeability Will readers spend 80,000 words with this person
Supporting depth Are supporting characters tools, or do they have their own goals
Character arc Is the protagonist the same person at the end as the beginning
Voice consistency Do dialogue styles / thought patterns differentiate characters

What the report tells you

  • Sub-scores per main character (not only protagonist)
  • AI cites passages flagging voice conflicts / inconsistency
  • Suggestions: "Supporting character X has no motivation arc; try…"

Common issues

  1. Protagonist too perfect → no identification entry for readers
  2. Protagonist too miserable → reader withdrawal / can't continue
  3. Supporting characters are tools → no goals of their own
  4. All characters speak the same → dialogue reads as one author voice
  5. No arc → ending matches opening

Integration with Entity tracking

The report references your Slima Entity tracking character profiles — if you maintained character files while writing, this diagnostic gets deeper.
