Start, progress, cancel

What happens after "Start" is pressed on the set-up screen.

Start

Confirm the cost estimate → "Start" → Slima:

1. Adds the reading to "In progress"
2. Switches to its progress page
3. Starts running

Progress page

Shows:

• Progress bar + percentage
• What's happening now: "Reader 1 is reading Chapter 3…"
• ETA
• Cancel button

You can leave

The progress page doesn't have to stay open:

• Switch to another book and write
• Close the tab, go to lunch
• Slima keeps running

When done you'll get:

• Desktop notification (if enabled)
• Email (if enabled)
• In-app red dot (readings list + notification centre)

Cancel a reading

Progress page → "Cancel":

• Confirmation
• Confirm → stops
• What's already produced stays — say it finished 60%, you can read that 60%
• Unused credits refunded

Failed / stuck

Rare but possible: "Failed" (vendor rate limit, timeout, etc.):

• Used credits aren't refunded (vendor already charged)
• "Retry" — resumes from where it stopped (not from scratch)
• Multiple failures → use Report a bug or Contact support from inside Slima
