Personas library: attributes and picking
The key knob for AI Beta Readers is "pick personas" — what kind of readers to simulate. Slima ships dozens of personas with attributes.

Attribute panel
Each persona has:
- Name + icon (fictitious, just for recognition)
- Age band: 18–25 / 26–35 / 36–50 / 50+
- Reading preference: literary / business / fantasy / mystery / romance / essay …
- Cultural background: Taiwan / Korea / SEA / North America / Europe / LatAm / Arabic
- Tolerance: strict (drops early) / normal / generous
- Reading depth: skim / standard / deep
- Purpose: entertainment / learning / aesthetics / comfort
How to pick
Three strategies:
Strategy 1: target your actual audience
YA fantasy: pick fantasy preference + 18–25 + medium tolerance personas.
Strategy 2: pick the strictest
Pressure-test: pick strict + skimmer personas (they drop fast).
If they finish — your opening works.
Strategy 3: pick a representative mix
Want overall feel: different ages + preferences + cultures → diverse vantage points.
Custom personas?
Not in v1 (on the roadmap).
If you need a specific persona: write a free-form instruction in the "Advanced notes" field (e.g. "assume the reader just went through a breakup and is sensitive"). Applies to this run only.
How many at once
Personas per run depend on your plan — see Max readers and upgrade or /plans for current numbers.
